Interior Finish Carpenter (NOC 7271)

Location: Gormley, ON

Salary: $27 hourly for 35 hours per week

Period of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Employment terms: Day, Morning, Flexible hours

Our team has many years of experience, trained from a master millwork himself with over 3 decades of knowledge and experience we can handle any project from manufacturing and installation of custom/architectural millwork to kitchens.

Education

Completion of secondary school is required

 

Experience

Three years or more

Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Tight deadlines, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Major Work Area

Construction

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Developing work plans
  • Selecting, measuring and marking materials for interior panelling, trim or mouldings
  • Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue
  • Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for cabinets and furniture
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment
  • Prepare material estimates and ensure that they are run by clients and supervisors for permission
  • Collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects
  • Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite
